Lectric eBikes were founded in Phoenix, Arizona by high school friends Levi Conlow and Robby Deziel in 2018.
Their main aim has always been to make biking accessible and available to those who perhaps previously couldn’t afford it. They currently specialize in electric folding bikes, a sector that has grown exponentially in popularity over the past few years. Their original design was voted the “Best Folding Electric Fat Tire Bike of 2020″ at the Electric Bike Review Top Choice Awards.
The Lectric eBike philosophy is based on excellent customer service and delivering value to the customer. Their current crop of e-bikes are affordable, transportable, and come ready to ride. They also include a 1-year limited warranty on their bikes for your peace of mind and free delivery across the United States.
Although a relatively new company, Lectric eBikes have gone from strength to strength and are now a well-known e-bike brand in the US.
Currently, Lectric eBikes produce three bikes, all of the same model – the XP 2.0.
The bikes are all folding electric bikes, however, there are differences in the frames and colors. The Lectric XP 2.0 is their flagship model and is the second generation of their original Lectric XP bike. The XP 2.0 does not use fat bike tires, however, and the company has included extra racks and baskets for usability.
The other Lectric XP folding bike is the XP Step-Thru 2.0, available in either white or black. These Lectric eBikes use a slightly different frame, a step-thru frame. This type of design makes it easier to mount and dismount the bicycle and makes it more accessible to shorter people.
Currently, there are only these two variations of Lectric XP eBikes, however, the brand is committed to keeping costs low and innovation high. So when they come up with a new idea, you’ll be bound to hear about it.
The Lectric XP 2.0
The Lectric eBike XP 2.0 is a fantastic little electric bike.
It’s portable, as it’s a Lectric folding bike, and thus can be easily taken on public transport or stowed away in the boot of your car. the XP 2.0 is an upgraded version of their original XP bike and now comes with front suspension to soak up the bumps of the roads. Other additions to the XP 2.0 include wider handlebars, which means riders now have space to mount their phones or other devices to their bars.
The brand has also included more mounting points for baskets and racks, which makes the bike even more useful! The 48v 9.6Ah Lectric XP battery offers up to 45 miles of range (depending on several factors). It also has a relatively short charge time of 4-6 hours.
With an MSRP of $1,099, (although it’s currently on sale for less) and all its capabilities, it’s easy to see why there have been so many positive Lectric XP bike reviews. It works as a great starter bike, or as a commuter and urban bike for someone who values a great deal.
The brand also makes a step-thru frame version at the same price. This comes in a choice of two colorways, white or black.
